Michael Guthrie, M.D.
Physiatrist
Doctor Guthries physiatry practice has a strong focus on Neurodiagnostic Studies (EMGs) musculoskeletal problems and cervical and lumbar pain management. At the Spine Center in Philadelphia he was Chief Physician for non-surgical rheumatological and orthopedic patient care as well as supervision of the Physical Therapy Department. He performs fluoroscopically guided interventional pain management procedures that include selective cervical and lumbar facet joint blocks, cervical and lumbar epidural blocks, discograms, intradiscal cortisone injections and rhizotomy.
He is on the medical staff of the Delaware Valley Orthopedic and Spine Surgicenter. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Medical Society. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Josephs University and his medical degree from St. Georges University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania - Presbyterian Medical Center and his residency at Allegheny University Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia.
