Office Hours
The Pain Management Center office is open Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm The switchboard is open from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm.
The answering service will take messages when the switchboard is closed.
Inclement Weather
The Offices will be closed if the Philadelphia Public and Parochial Schools are closed due to inclement weather. Patients scheduled for that day will also be notified and rescheduled. This policy is only in effect for the first day of inclement weather, all other scheduled appointments for the week will be in effect unless notified by the doctor's office.
Prescriptions
If you need a prescription refill from The Pain Management Center office please leave your name, the spelling of the medication you wish to have refilled, your phone number and the pharmacy's phone number. A person from our office will contact you within 24 hours.
If your prescription will run out over the weekend, please call our office on the preceding scheduled day that the doctor is in that office.
Prescriptions will not be filled after 4:45 pm or on weekends, except in extreme emergencies. Narcotic prescriptions cannot be filled over the phone, these must have the original signature of the physician.
Test Results
Please call our office 3 - 4 days after the date of the test and we will put you in touch with the appropriate department.

Scheduling Appointments
New Appointments: If you are a new patient to our Pain Management Center please contact Linda Jenkins at (610) 949 7123 or (610) 949-7142.
Please have all current insurance information on hand when scheduling an appointment (i.e. insurance company name and address, claim number, adjuster, phone number, etc.)
Follow-up Appointments: If you are a non-surgical patient, and the doctor requests that you return for a follow-up visit, please be sure to make your return appointment prior to leaving our office or within a week following your original appointment. This will insure your appointment is at a time convenient for you.
Post-Operative Appointments: Surgical patients need to be seen at a time determined by the doctor. It is recommended that you call the physicians office to schedule a post-operative appointment when you return home the same day of your procedure. Please call (610) 664-2100 and select option 0 for the operator.
Patient Requests For Letters
All letters (i.e. for medical necessity, jury duty, disability status, return to work, etc.) will be completed within 5 business days from the date of request.
Patient Request For Forms
All forms (i.e. disability, insurance, etc.) will be completed within 7-10 business days from the date of receipt.
Note: All portions of the form requiring patient (employee) completion must be completed prior to forwarding the form to the doctor.
Patient Requests For Medical Records
We will need a signed authorization from the patient for release of medical records required by HIPPA.
We will accept faxed authorizations for The Pain Management Center. Our fax number is (610) 949-9042. You can contact the Medical Records Department at (610) 949-7151.
Patient Requests For X-Rays
A patient must request their films 48 hours in advance of pick up.
There is no charge for the first copy. Additional copies will require a fee.
Please do not return the films, they are your property.
Insurance Authorization Requirements
Please be advised that it is the patients responsibility to obtain the necessary authorizations from their insurance company prior to seeing a doctor. Prior authorization is also required for any plain x-rays that are taken.
If we have not received a written approval prior to your appointment, we will require you to make full payment at that time, or your appointment will be cancelled.
If you are uncertain whether a pre-certification is required, please contact your benefits department. If you are a member of an HMO/HealthNet, you must get prior approval from your primary care physician. The necessary telephone numbers are usually located on the back of your insurance card. If you are a Workmans Compensation patient, you must obtain prior approval from the adjuster.
If your insurance company/workmans compensation require information from the doctor regarding the need for a visit, please let us know and we will forward the required paperwork.
Medicare does not require any pre-certification.
Financial Policy
Initial Consultation The patient is responsible for any co-payments and any unmet deductible amount, due and payable at the time of the office visit. As a courtesy, the office will bill your insurance company, provided you furnish the office with a completed insurance claim form or insurance card. A patient without medical insurance will be required to pay in full at the time of service.
Initial Consultation (Medicare Patients)
Since our office accepts Medicare assignment; we will bill Medicare for you. Patients who have Medicare only, are responsible for the co-insurance portion approved by Medicare. If you have a secondary insurance, we will also bill them for you.
Physical Therapy
It is recommended that all patients in need of physical therapy contact their insurance company to find out exactly what benefits they are entitled to. Medicare restrictions on benefits can be explained by our staff.
Cancellation of Appointments
All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Workmans Compensation Must be pre-approved before the patient may receive services.
Types of Payment
Cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted in our Bala Cynwyd office; cash or checks are accepted in our Bustleton Avenue office.
All charges are the responsibility of the patient from the date the services are rendered. The filing of claims is a courtesy that we extend to our patients. If you run into financial trouble we encourage you to contact our office so we can set up a payment plan.
Not all services are a covered benefit in all contracts. Your insurance contract is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company. We will gladly assist you in answering any questions that you might have relating to your insurance and your proposed treatment.
